Building costs rise in Finland in January

Building costs rose by 0.8 per cent in Finland in January 2025 from one year back, according to Statistics Finland.

Labour input costs rose by 1.7 per cent, the costs of materials rose by 0.7 per cent while the costs of services decreased by 2.9 per cent from one year back.

Among materials, the biggest cost increases in the year were recorded in soil materials (6.7%) and timber structures (5.8%).

Costs decreased most in the year in steel structures and roofing materials (3.6%).
