More people file restructuring of debts petitions in Q1

A total of 1,321 debt restructuring petitions of private persons were filed with district courts in January to March 2025, according to Statistics Finland.

The number of petitions filed was 130 or 10.9 % higher than in the respective period one year previously.

Altogether 50.7 per cent of debt restructuring petitions were filed by men and 49.2 per cent by women in the first quarter of 2025.
