More bankruptcies filed in March in Finland

A total of 350 bankruptcy proceedings were instigated in March 2025, which is 76 more than in March one year earlier, according to Statistics Finland.

In March, the number of staff-years in enterprises that filed for bankruptcy totalled 1,203, which is 47 staff-years more than in March 2024.

During the past 12 months, the number of bankruptcies was nine per cent higher than in the 12 months preceding this period.

In March, most bankruptcy proceedings were instigated in the industries of other service activities, construction and trade.

A total of 123 bankruptcy proceedings were instigated in other service activities, 72 in construction and 52 in trade.
