Nordea Bank services to remain suspended today

The Nordea Bank management said the services of the bank including online payment and ATM transactions and card payments will remain suspend in Finland on Sunday, said a press release.

The services will be interrupted due to maintenance work of the bank’s IT services.

Transactions through ATM cards will remain suspended from 4.00am to 12.00 noon while online banking services will remain suspended till 4.00pm.

The disruption will be also applicable for Nordea Finance’s services and payment cards, including Stockmann MasterCard, Finnair Plus MasterCard, and the TUOHI MasterCard.

The clients will not be able to withdraw cash with Nordea’s cards or use Nordea’s access codes for electronic identification, said the press release, adding that Netbank and Mobile Bank will be unavailable during the entire break.

Card payments could be possible with restrictions at a few places, but the payment process may be slow and there is also a risk of unsuccessful payment, the press release added.

The bank management suggested its customers to get ready to face the service break by withdrawing adequate cash.
