Eurozone unemployment in June was 8.3 percent, the lowest level since December 2008, data from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union (EU), showed on Tuesday.

The figure was stable compared with May 2018 and down from 9.0 percent in June 2017.

Among the member states, the lowest unemployment rates in June were recorded in the Czech Republic at 2.4 percent and Germany at 3.4 percent.

The highest unemployment rates were observed in Greece and Spain, stood respectively at 20.2 percent and 15.2 percent.

"But while labour market strength should ultimately prompt a rise in wages growth, this has yet to materialize properly in even the strongest economies," according to analysis from Capital Economics.
