Building costs increase by 2.8% in July

Building costs rose by 2.8 per cent in July 2018 compared with the previous year's July, according to Statistics Finland.

The prices of materials went up by 3.2 per cent, those of services by 2.2 per cent and those of labour inputs by 2.5 per cent compared with July 2017.

From June to July, the total index of building costs rose by 0.2 per cent.

The prices of materials went up by 0.3 per cent in a month and the prices of services by 0.6 per cent. The prices of labour inputs remained unchanged from the previous month.
