Finland and Hong Kong have concluded their first extensive bilateral tax treaty. The government is proposing that parliament approve the treaty, said an official press release.
The purpose of the tax treaty is to eliminate double taxation of income and stop tax evasion.
The new treaty incorporates a previous agreement between Finland and Hong Kong which applied only to income from the use of aircraft.
Finland already has a tax treaty with China, but that treaty does not apply to Hong Kong.
