A two-day European Business AI and Robotics event was concluded at the Messukeskus Helsinki, Expo and Convention Centre on Wednesday amidst participation of more than 200 executives and industry thought leaders to discuss the development of AI in the European business landscape, said a press release.
The event focused on critical questions concerning the implementation and deployment of AI and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) in enterprises. From improving databases with different algorithmic trading strategies to creating a platform for capturing values, the biggest area for discussion is “where does AI fit into the future of work?”
“The path toward a brighter, more productive and more fulfilling future won’t be easy. But humans and machines together, working in harmony, can achieve great things”, said Matija Kopić, Founder and CEO of Gideon Brothers. The company also announced at the event its latest innovation – a fully autonomous indoor logistics robot capable of moving 800kg – that has won them the “Best Logistics and Mobility Company” in Europe.
In a statement, Management Events’ Project Manager Tea Repo, further shared: " AI and Robotics is all about the human-machine collaboration, so you need to have the right people in place. In the end, building up a successful AI model comes down to scalability. This is what The European Business AI and Robotics event is all about this year – helping our guests find solutions and tools to move forward in the wondrous world of artificial intelligence and robotics."
One of the much-anticipated sessions of the event was the rare opportunity to participate in the face-to-face Q&A panel with Sophia the Robot of Hanson Robotics Limited, Hong Kong – the world’s first robot declared a citizen by Saudi Arabia. Sophia made her second press appearance in Finland, impressing the delegates with her unique sense of humor: “I love the cool climate [in Finland] because my system works better when it's cool enough”, said Sophia.
Along with the keynotes from Sophia the Robot, the event welcomed Warren Knight, Top 100 Global Influencer, Digital Transformation Expert, Author and Award-Winning Entrepreneur to talk about the challenges facing businesses when experimenting AI and to understand its benefits in bringing real values, by thinking #digitalfirst.
Key topics discussed at the event include: Ethical and policy challenges in Europe and beyond, AI-powered customer experience revolution, Data-driven business models, AI tools to drive sizeable ROI; and anchored by interactive panel discussions with industry thought leaders, showcasing real-life business cases.
