Posti gets gold rating for sustainable performance

The national postal and logistic services operator Posti has received gold-level rating from the international research company EcoVadis for sustainable performance.

With a score of 73 out of 100, Posti ranked among the top one per cent companies assessed by EcoVadis in all the industries worldwide, said a Posti press release on Tuesday.

Posti has been placed among the top three per cent of mail and logistics companies.

EcoVadis is a responsible sourcing network for buyers and suppliers. It includes 50,000 suppliers representing 190 industries and 150 countries. The system assesses and scores the over-all performance sustainability of the suppliers annually in the domains of environmental responsibility, social responsibility, business ethics, and sustainable sourcing.

“Responsibility is an increasingly important selection criterion for our customers. Being recognised by EcoVadis is an important signal to us and our customers that we are doing the right things. However, our work does not end here, and we will continue to work hard to curb climate change and promote sustainable business,” said Posti’s Head of Sustainability Noomi Jägerhorn.
