Toyota recalls 45,000 cars in Finland over faulty airbags

Japanese automobile company Toyota recalled about 45,000 vehicles in Finland for safety inspection due to the present issue of faulty airbags, national broadcaster Yle reported quoted company sources.
The company said that some of the affected airbags were deployed accidentally from moisture getting into their mechanisms, among other triggers.
The recall includes different models of Toyota such as Avensis, Corolla and Corolla Verso manufactured from July 2002 to May 2007.
The company, however, said that the authority found five faulty airbag system in Finland so far and the vehicles did not cause any accident.
The company urged the vehicles owners to take for safety inspection and assured for free replacement of the devices, if any fault is detected there.
More specifically, the recall affects Avensis models made between 2003-2007; Corollas produced in 2001-2004; Verso vehicles made in 2001-2004 and Yaris models made in 2001-2004, the Yle report added.
