42 to vie for Business Finland’s DG post

A total of 42 persons applied for the post of Business Finland’s Director General by the end of the application round, said a press release.

The selected person will be appointed for a fixed term of five years. The new Director General’s term starts on September 1, 2019.

The Director General will be appointed by the Government on the proposal of Mika Lintilä, Minister of Economic Affairs.

The present Director General of Business Finland, Pekka Soini, will continue in his position until the end of his term, but has informed that he will not be available for the next term.

The applicants for the position of Business Finland’s Director General are Jalo Aminoff, Markku Ellilä, Sauli Eloranta, Jens Hasselblatt, Kirsi Hautala, Jaakko Helenius, Riikka Heikinheimo, Jari Hämäläinen, Simo Karetie, Petri Keronen, Tatu Koljonen, Leena Kunttu, Risto Kurki-Suonio, Hannu Lepomäki, Mika Maliranta, Jari Nevalainen, Mari Pantsar, Pasi Pasivirta, Juhani Pitkäkoski, Jukka Salo, Pia Santavirta, Juha Savela, Sissi Silván, Pekka Sivonen, Pauli Tarna, Marjukka Turunen, Anu Vauhkonen, Tero Vauraste, Petri Vihervuori, Risto Vuohelainen, Timo Vuori.

Eleven candidates, however, did not want their names published.
