Activation model amendment enters force on Monday

Starting in April, jobseekers will have more opportunities to meet the activation model requirements, reported local media.

The government adopted a decree three months ago to widen the range of categories of operators whose organised activities in supporting employment could be considered as activity to meet the requirements in the activation model.

Starting on Monday, activation can accumulate through activities organised by municipalities, joint municipality authorities, labour unions or a registered association receiving public funding.

In the activation model, the unemployment benefit is cut by 4.65 percent, if the unemployed person has not earned at least 18 hours of work in 3 months, earned 241 euros as an entrepreneur or participates in employment-promoting services for five days.
