Helsinki hosts open-air concert celebrating victory

The City of Helsinki will host a concert at city´s Kaisaniemi park on Monday evening to celebrate Finland´s Championship in the Ice Hockey World Championship, said a press release of Rovaniemi City.

Finland won the Ice Hockey World Championship in Slovakia on Sunday night beating Canada by three goals to one.

The concert is scheduled to be begun at 6:00 pm is free for all where the world champions heroes are expected to arrive after 7:00 pm. The members of the Finnish National Ice Hockey Team will appear on the stage.

Noted national artists such as singers Paula Vesala and Samuli Edelman and bands including the Teflon Brothers and JVG will perform on the occasion.

Meanwhile, the celebration may create disruption in the normal traffic movement in the evening, said the Helsinki Regional Transport Authority (HSL).
