Turku Day’s appro event postponed

Turku Day’s appro event, scheduled to be held on 20 September has been postponed following the increase in the rate of coronavirus infections.

The City of Turku is working on finding a new date for the event, said a press release.

Communicable Diseases-in-Charge Jutta Peltoniemi at the City of Turku Welfare Division recommends that along with the University of Turku and Åbo Akademi student associations, student events should not be held this week or the next.

Taking into account the increased rate of coronavirus infections in the Turku area, postponing Turku Day appro is a right thing to do for the safety of the university students, said the press release.
