The National Postal and logistic services operator Posti set 14 December as the deadline for sending domestic Christmas greetings at special price (EUR 1.20) with a Christmas no-value indicator stamp, said a press release on Thursday.
Christmas greetings with a domestic no-value indicator stamp (EUR 1.75), however, will be delivered by Christmas, if they are mailed in accordance with the mailbox-emptying times by 17 December.
The last mailing dates for domestic and international Christmas greetings and parcels can be found on the website of Posti and the service points.
Meanwhile, the use of a special postmark designed specifically for Christmas greetings will begin in Helsinki area from 1 December.
This year, special postmarks are available for Christmas greetings every day for about two and a half weeks from 1 to 17 December.
The traditional Christmas postmark, which puts the finishing touch on a true Christmas greeting, has been extremely popular among customers. Helsinki’s special postmark decorates about 300,000 Christmas greetings every year.
