Finnish film Hytti nro 6 fails to win Oscar

Finnish film Hytti nro 6 (Compartment No. 6), directed by Juho Kuosmanen did not get place in the final list for this year´s Oscar award.

Earlier, in December last year the film was shortlisted along with 14 other films for Oscar award from the International Feature Film category.

The final nominations for the Oscar was announced on Tuesday but the name of Hytti nro 6 was not included there.

The Academy Awards will be presented in Los Angeles on 27 March.

This this first time for any Finnish Feature Film to reach this stage since the country has been representing in the category for the last 20 years.

Hytti nro 6 won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival in July last year.
