The National Museum of Finland is planning to return a katakle, a ceremonial royal stool, to the Republic of Benin, the museum announced in a press release published on Monday, reported Xinhua.

Elina Anttila, director general of the National Museum, emphasized the importance of this return, saying it completes a historically significant repatriation effort.

The stool has been part of the National Museum's collection since 1939. It served as a ceremonial item symbolizing stability and power.
