All the employees of Tampere Theatre will be affected as the organisation has started co-determination negotiations on Monday, said an official press release.

The authority took the move of structural reforms to save the cost for the year 2025 following cuts in state subsidy and revenue and extra expenditure due to renovation works.

The negotiations will take two weeks to six weeks, the press release added.

Tampere Theatre, one of the oldest theatres in Finland has about 120 employees.

It stages a wide range of musicals, Finnish plays, world classics and modern premieres.

Annually, over 100 000 spectators attend some 450 performances in the Theatre and every year 6-8 plays have their premieres.
