President Sauli Niinistö and First Lady Jenni Haukio will visit Tallinn on June 10 to participate in a programme marking the 100 years of Finland’s Independence Day, said an official press release.

The presidential couple will participate in Estonia’s main event celebrating Finland’s centenary, the ‘Soome 100 Finland’ open-air concert in Tallinn's Freedom Square.

Niinistö will give the concert's opening speech together with his Estonian counterpart Kersti Kaljulaid.

In addition, First Lady Jenni Haukio will give the inaugural speech for the ‘100 Objects from Finland’ exhibition at Maarjamäe Castle. The exhibition tells the story of independent Finland via objects.
