Helsinki University places 120th in world ranking

The University of Helsinki ranked 120th in the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) published on Monday.
The university got 81 out of total 100 possible points in the ranking.
Aalto University secured 345th place in the global list of 2000 top universities while University of Turku ranked 395, Tampere University 429, University of Oulu 459, University of Eastern Finland 478, University of Jyväskylä 585, Lappeenranta University of Technology 986, Åbo Akademi University 1104 and Hanken School of Economics 1486.
Harvard University ranked top for the 11th consecutive years in the list followed by Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University, University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, Princeton University, University of Chicago, Columbia University, University of Pennsylvania and California Institute of Technology.
The Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) grades universities on four factors without relying on surveys and university data submissions: education (25%), employability (25%), faculty (10%), and research (40%), said the Center for World University in a press release.
This year, 19788 institutions were ranked, and those that placed at the top made CWUR’s Global 2000 list.
