Helsinki University enrols 1,312 students to Int’l master’s courses

The University of Helsinki has admitted 1,312 students to international master’s programmes starting in autumn 2023, said the university in a press release on Monday.

In the application round that ended 15 January, the university received a total of 7,116 applications from 148 different countries to the 35 international master’s programmes this year.

Out of the total applicants, 18% qualified to get admission from both Finland and the rest of the world.

Of those got places, 76% are from outside Finland and 60% from non-EU and non-EEA countries.

In addition to Finland, the highest number of students come from China, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

The University authority already notified the successful students by email and the applicants must accept the offered student place by July 14.
