Joint application to Finnish universities begins

The autumn joint application to higher education has begun on Wednesday, said the Finnish National Agency For Education in a press release on Thursday.
The application period will be ended on September 11.
In the autumn joint application, students can apply on Studyinfo.fi to degree programmes starting in January 2025.
There are 10 300 study places in 325 application options.
Most of the programmes available are offered in Finnish – however, there are tens of programmes available in English in multiple fields of study.
Students can apply to both Bachelor’s and Master’s level programmes.
A total of four universities and 20 universities of applied sciences (Polytechnic Institutes) are taking part in the autumn joint application, with 98% of the programmes offered by universities of applied sciences.
Most of the programmes offered by universities are either Master’s level programmes or programmes aimed at open university students.
Students can apply to up to six programmes in the joint application.
The programmes must be selected in an order of preference every student cans only be offered admission to one application option.
If anyone is accepted to multiple programmes, the student will only be offered admission to the one that is highest on application preference list.
The admission results will be published on November 21, 2024 at the latest.
