Employment rate of students drops slightly

The employment rate of students decreased 0.6 percentage points in 2023 compared to the previous year, according to Statistics Finland.
There were 583 000 students aged 18 to 64 of whom 317,000, over half, were employed during their studies.
Working while studying was more common among women than men.
The employment rate of students aged 18 to 64 was 54.4 per cent in 2023.
The employment rate of female students was 57.9 per cent and that of male students 49.9 per cent.
Working while studying was most common among students in the fields of business, administration and law.
