Russian Tu-160 strategic bombers patrol Baltic Sea

Two Tu-160 strategic bombers of Russia conducted a 7-hour scheduled flight over the neutral waters of the Baltic Sea on Tuesday, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

At certain stages of the mission, the Russian warplanes were escorted by the air forces of Belgium, Denmark, Poland, Finland and Sweden, the ministry said in a brief statement.

After completing the patrol, the Tu-160 strategic bombers returned to their home airfield.
