Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said on Monday that his country is strongly against the deployment of short- and medium-range missiles in Europe.
Belarus was forced to pay attention to ensuring its security after the United States withdrew from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty, Lukashenko said during a working meeting with Roman Golovchenko, chairman of the State Military Industrial Committee.
Belarus has already developed a medium-range missile system and plans to increase the range and power of Belarusian missiles, the president added.
