1 killed, 3 wounded in brawl in France

A brawl involving many homeless individuals had left one dead and three wounded late on Saturday in the southwestern city of Bordeaux, a regional broadcaster reported on Sunday.

Two men and a woman, aged between 25 and 32 and armed with knives, had assaulted a group of men in the city centre at around 22:00 local time. The reason of the attack was not identified yet, France Bleu Gironde radio wrote in its website.

A 25-year-old man died shortly after being stabbed in the thorax, while three others suffered many injuries, it added.

According to the report, three suspects were detained and placed under police custody.

An investigation is underway to identify the motive of the attack.
