Train- car collision kills 2 in eastern France

Two people died in a collision between a car and a passenger train in the French eastern department of l'Ain, the French daily Le Figaro reported on Monday.

The collision occurred on Sunday afternoon when a train struck a vehicle while it was entering the crossing in Tossiat, killing a man and a woman in the car, according to the report.

Three passengers on the train were injured, it added.

An investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances of the accident.
