Drug production, distribution gang busted in Bulgaria

Bulgarian authorities have busted a four-member organized criminal group responsible for drug production and distribution, the Ministry of Interior and the national Prosecutor's Office said Friday, reported Xinhua.

During the operation conducted on Wednesday near Sofia, authorities found and seized over 250 kg of amphetamine and methamphetamine, the two law enforcement institutions said in a joint statement.

They also seized equipment for illegal production of amphetamine and methamphetamine, as well as more than 100 liters of precursors, the statement said.
