Ten Conservative Members of Parliament (MPs) in Britain have been in self-quarantine after they were informed that they had come into contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, reported Xinhua, quoting Sky News on Monday.
The news came a day after a Downing Street spokesperson announced that Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been self-quarantining for the same reason.
Johnson had a meeting with six MPs in 10 Downing Street on Thursday morning, according to Sky News. Among these MPs, Lee Anderson, the Ashfield MP, later tested positive for COVID-19. All these MPs are now self-quarantining.
Another two MPs, Marco Longhi and Matt Vickers, also announced on Monday that they were self-quarantining as both of them received a test from the NHS (National Health Service) Test and Trace service, Sky News Reported.
But it is still not clear if these two men were at Thursday's meeting, Sky News said.
The other two MPs entering quarantine due to virus contact are Jacob Young, the Redcar and Cleveland MP, and Maria Miller, the Basingstoke MP, the report said.
