3 killed in private plane crash in Russia

Three people were dead after a small aircraft crashed on Friday in Lomonosovsky District of Russia's northwestern Leningrad Region, reported Xinhua, quoting RIA Novosti news agency.
The private plane, reportedly a Piper-28, was on a training flight, according to preliminary data.
The pilot and two passengers on board are confirmed dead, the regional health committee was quoted as saying.
Before the accident, the aircraft collided with a Cessna 150 plane in the air, RIA said, adding that the Cessna jet landed with minor deterioration, and the pilot was not injured.
The investigation was still ongoing, the report said.
