4 killed in COVID-19 hospital fire in Ukraine

Three patients and a doctor have died in a fire at the intensive care unit of the regional hospital for COVID-19 patients in Zaporizhia, southeastern Ukraine, the regional administration said Thursday, reported Xinhua.
A ward on the first floor was on fire. A total of eight people were evacuated, but four bodies were found, said Olexandr Starukh, head of the regional administration.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal expressed condolences to the families of the four people killed in the fire.
The police have started pre-trial investigations on a violation of fire safety requirements.
