Cop stabbed to death near Paris, attacker gunned down

A police officer was stabbed by a knife attacker on Friday afternoon at a police station in Rambouillet near Paris, said French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin, reported Xinhua.

"A police officer was the victim of a knife attack at the Rambouillet police station, where I am going," said Darmanin on Twitter.

The victim died of her injuries. The attacker, of Tunisian nationality, was shot by the police on the spot and died, reported BFM TV.

Prime Minister Jean Castex will go to the scene, his office announced.
