Russia expels Bulgarian diplomat in retaliation

The Russian Foreign Ministry said Wednesday it has decided to expel a Bulgarian diplomat in a tit-for-tat move, reported Xinhua.
The ministry said it had summoned the ambassador of Bulgaria to inform him that an employee from the Bulgarian Embassy in Russia has been declared "persona non grata."
It added that the measure was taken in response to the "groundless" expulsion of a Russian diplomat at the Russian Embassy in Sofia earlier in April.
