Police in the Spanish northeastern city of Lleida on Tuesday confirmed the arrest of a 25-year-old Pakistani man on suspicion of indoctrination and spreading Jihadist propaganda, which marked the end of a three-year probe against a Jihadist group.

Tuesday's arrest is a direct result of a police operation in June in which three Pakistani brothers were detained for their role in organizing a Jihadist group which had "an extremely radical ideology," the country's Interior Ministry said.

The suspect, whose initials are A.Z, is reported to have used his Facebook page to "consume and spread" Jihadist messages centered on the justification of violent acts, by publishing videos justifying suicide attacks, praising terrorist groups and their leaders and instigating terrorist acts.

The arrest brings to 245 the number of people arrested for Jihadism in Spain since the start of 2015.
