Turkish police seize over 560 kg of heroin

Turkish police seized 566 kilograms of heroin in Yuksekova district of southeastern Hakkari province, Turkey's interior minister said on Thursday, reported Xinhua.

"We did not and will not allow our children and generations to be destroyed by drugs," Suleyman Soylu tweeted.

In a separate statement on Wednesday, the minister said Turkey's fight against illicit drugs increases day by day. Some 148,585 operations have been carried out since the beginning of 2021.
