2 killed after roof of Spain school collapses

Two people have been confirmed dead and two injured after the roof of a school collapsed in the city of Gijon in northern Spain Wednesday morning, local emergency services have reported, reported Xinhua.
It happened while repair work was being carried out on the roof of the St Vicente Paul school near the city center.
Witnesses said that part of a terrace had collapsed, trapping workers beneath the rubble. The three-storey building dates from the 19th century.
The fire brigade has recovered the bodies of two workers. Two more people suffered slight injuries, although only one required hospital treatment.
No children were present at the school at the time of the accident, as the holidays do not end until Jan. 10.
