Police seize huge ammunition, 1 held in Germany

A 40-year-old German man has been arrested after Berlin police, acting on a tipoff, carried out raids in four separate locations in the German capital Tuesday and seized large amounts of ammunition, police said Wednesday.

The raids were conducted after months of joint investigations by Berlin police and the Attorney General's office.

Prior to Tuesday's raids, authorities received a tipoff that the man may have gained access to dangerous arms, including military weapons.

There was no immediate information if the suspect had plotted an actual attack.
