The Bundesliga club and their sustainability partners and sponsors PreZero said that all garbage that can not be avoided is to be recycled, reported dpa.
They said that garbage collected after a sold out game amounts to 3.6 tons. By next spring 90% of that is to be recycled or avoided.
Hoffenheim have been on the forefront on environmental matters with sustainability now also among club licensing criteria by the German Football League (DFL).
The club has said it has planted more than 23,000 trees in Uganda to compensate for its carbon dioxide emissions, and is saving about half a million disposable cups by introducing a reusable system.
