At least five workers were killed Saturday after an explosion rocked the state-owned Mechanical Chemical Industry Company's rocket and explosive factory in the Elmadag district of Turkey's Ankara province, the Turkish Defense Ministry said.
The ministry said an investigation was launched into the incident, reported Xinhua.
"According to initial investigations, the explosion is thought to be caused by a chemical reaction," Ankara Governor Vasip Sahin said in a statement.
