7,000 demonstrators at pro-Palestinian protest in Berlin

About 7,500 people, according to police estimates, took to the streets of Berlin on Saturday in a demonstration dubbed the "Global South Resists," reported dpa on Sunday.
A police spokeswoman said that pro-Palestinian demonstrators were among the participants.
The protest organizers' website called for freedom and justice for territories from Palestine to Congo as well as Sudan, Syria and Yemen, among others.
They stated that they wanted to "end colonialism, racism and white supremacy."
Chants such as "Stop the genocide" and "Germany finances, Israel bombs" were shouted at the demonstrations, according to the police spokeswoman.
No major incidents were reported at the event where 400 police officers were deployed.
