14 killed in Russian attack on Ukraine's Chernihiv

At least 14 people were killed and more than 60 others injured on Wednesday morning in Russia's missile attack on the city of Chernihiv in northern Ukraine, reported Xinhua, quoting, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said.

Two children are among those injured, Klymenko wrote in a post on Telegram.

Three missile strikes on the city destroyed an eight-story building and damaged four apartment blocks, a hospital, an education facility, and dozens of cars, the deputy head of the presidential office Oleksii Kuleba said in a statement.

Oleksandr Lomako, the acting mayor of Chernihiv, said that the rescue operation in the city continues.
