Man held after stabbing 3 in France

A man was arrested after stabbing three people near a subway station in French central city of Lyon Sunday afternoon, reported Xinhua, quoting local authorities.

The suspect was arrested by the police on site, said Mohamed Chihi, the deputy mayor in charge of the city's security, on the social media platform X.

Two of the victims are in absolute emergency, reported French television BFM TV.

Details about the suspect's identity and his motive remained unknown so far.
