Russia fired 11 cruise missiles, eight surface-to-air missiles and 32 Shahed combat drones at targets in Ukraine early Thursday, the Ukrainian Air Force said in a Telegram post, reported Xinhua.
According to the post, the attack targeted military facilities and critical infrastructure across the country.
Seven cruise missiles and all drones were intercepted in nine regions in western, central and southern Ukraine.
The air strike damaged energy infrastructure in the western Khmelnytsky region, leaving about 10,000 people without electricity, said the state-run energy company Ukrenergo.
In the eastern Kharkiv region, a gas infrastructure facility and a farm were hit, and seven people were injured, said regional governor Oleg Synegubov.
The government-run Ukrinform news agency also reported that explosions were heard in the central Dnipropetrovsk region during the attack.
