Fire broke out at a building of Danish pharmaceutical giant Novo Nordisk in Copenhagen, reported Xinhua, quoting local media on Tuesday.
Danish Ekstra Bladet quoted sources as saying that "a big bang from the large building complex" had been heard, and that a cloud of black smoke rose from the buildings north of Copenhagen.
The Copenhagen fire service said on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the bang was most likely the result of exploding gas bottles.
Ekstra Bladet quoted a police source as saying that the fire was under control and that a "large force of fire vehicles" had been sent over to the scene.
It was the third time in just over a month that Novo Nordisk was struck by fire. On May 22, a blaze that had reportedly started in a garbage truck spread to a building at Novo Nordisk's facility in Copenhagen.
A week earlier, there was a fire in one of Novo Nordisk's buildings in Kalundborg where more than half of the world's insulin is produced.
Following Tuesday's blaze, Novo Nordisk told Danish TV 2 in a written statement that foul play is not suspected in any of the fires.
