Climate activists have doused one of US carmaker Tesla's Cybertrucks with orange paint at the Tesla Centre in the Wandsbek district of the northern German port city of Hamburg, police confirmed on Saturday morning, reported dpa.

According to the activists from the Last Generation group, the vehicle symbolizes "the way the super-rich deal with global warming."

Tesla is currently presenting its futuristic Cybertruck in Germany. It is unclear whether it will be allowed on German roads.

The vehicle, which weighs 3.1 tons and is 5.68 metres long, is not yet registered in Europe.
