2 killed after helicopter crashes into building in Ireland

Two people have been killed after a helicopter crashed into a building in Ireland on Tuesday, according to Irish police, reported Xinhua.

The victims were both men aged in their 40s. One was from Ireland and the other is understood to be from eastern Europe, police said.

The crash happened in a rural farm near Killucan, County Westmeath in Ireland at around 15:30 local time (1430 GMT).

Both men were on board the helicopter when it crashed into the farm building. They were pronounced dead at the scene and both bodies have been taken to a regional hospital where post-mortem examinations will take place.

Irish Taoiseach Simon Harris has expressed his concern about the incident.
