The hearing of Rakhmat Akilov, the main suspect of Friday's truck attack here, will be held on Tuesday morning, the Stockholm district court said in a statement on Monday.

Rakhmat Akilov, 39, is the man who is believed to be responsible for the attack in central Stockholm on Friday afternoon, Swedish Television (SVT) quoted police as saying.

"I am confident that our chief suspect is the perpetrator who was driving the truck. It is based on police premises and must then be examined by the prosecutors and the courts," national police chief Dan Eliasson was quoted by SVT as saying on Monday.

Besides Akilov, one more person was arrested on suspicion of terrorism offenses on Sunday, according to the prosecutor's office. Police have said there are connections between the two arrested.

The investigation into the attack will take a very long time -- around one year -- SVT quoted a police source as saying on Monday.

A truck rammed into people on a central Stockholm street on Friday before crashing into a department store, killing four people and injuring 15 others. Nine of the wounded are still in hospital, two are in critical condition.
