2 pilots killed in training plane crash in NW Türkiye

Two pilots were killed when a training plane crashed on Monday in the Turkish northwestern province of Bursa, reported Xinhua, quoting local authorities.

According to a statement from the Bursa governor's office, the incident occurred at around 8 a.m. local time (0500 GMT) when the aircraft went down on the apron area of Yenisehir Airport.

Ambulances, firefighters, and search and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene.

Demiroren News Agency reported that a certified pilot and a student pilot were killed in the incident.

The plane belonged to a private flight school, and an investigation has been launched into the incident.
