Ukraine war will end quicker with Trump as president: Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday said Russia’s war in Ukraine will end “sooner” when Donald Trump will take over as U.S. President.

Talking to Ukrainian national broadcaster Suspilne in an exclusive interview, Zelensky pointed out a difficult situation on the battlefield where Russia has been pressing its advantages in manpower and weaponry.

“It is certain that the war will end sooner with the policies of the team that will now lead the White House,” said the Ukrainian President, referring to the incoming Trump administration.

He also said that Ukraine will do everything to ensure that the war ends next year through diplomatic means.
