Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday that Russia will continue to achieve all the goals of its special military operation in Ukraine in 2025, calling it the number one task, reported Xinhua.

"Of course, we assume that we will solve all the goals of the special military operation. In general, this is the number one task. We will support our people. We are talking now, and they are fighting now," Putin told journalists after a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Russia's Leningrad Oblast.

"We are also striving to end the conflict in Ukraine," said the Russian leader, answering a question about the possible end of the Ukrainian conflict in 2025.

Putin noted that Russia might use the Oreshnik missile systems if necessary, but emphasized that the decision would not be rushed, as they are powerful and designed to solve specific problems.

Russia currently has multiple Oreshnik missile systems, although "not many," but has already started flow production to ensure an "adequate quantity", the president added.
